RAW Network Busted in Karachi: CTD Exposes State-Sponsored Terrorism

Karachi – August 2025:
Sindh Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has unearthed a large network of the Indian intelligence agency RAW in Karachi, exposing links with terrorist groups and foreign funding. A safe house of terrorists has also been discovered in the city.

At a press conference, Additional IG CTD Sindh Azad Khan revealed that the breakthrough came after the arrest of four suspects involved in the murder of a 45-year-old man from Badin on May 18, 2025. The arrests, made on July 8, led to the discovery of the wider RAW network operating in Pakistan.

How the RAW Network Operated

According to Azad Khan, CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts initially helped identify the culprits. Two suspects were caught with pistols and motorcycles used in the killing. Further interrogation exposed the hand of an Indian intelligence agent, Sanjay Sanjeev Kumar alias Fauji, based in a Gulf state.

  • Sanjay allegedly planned the murder and recruited Pakistanis abroad.

  • He hired Salman, a resident of Sheikhupura, who then formed a gang including Umair, Sajjad, Obaid, and Shakeel.

  • The CTD later arrested Umair Asghar, Sajjad, Obaid, Shakeel, Arsalan, and Talha Umair.

  • After the incident, mastermind Salman reportedly fled to Nepal.

The CTD has also registered a terror financing case after uncovering evidence of foreign funding, bank transactions, and facilitation of banned groups.

Evidence and Recoveries

During the raids, CTD recovered:

  • A 9mm pistol

  • A 30-bore pistol

  • Several mobile phones

  • A motorcycle used in the murder

Authorities confirmed that RAW had spent a huge sum of money to orchestrate the incident.

RAW’s Involvement in State-Sponsored Terrorism

Additional IG Azad Khan strongly condemned the role of RAW, saying:

“Such terrorism is called state-sponsored terrorism. RAW used a separatist organization as a weapon to destabilize Pakistan. The matter will be raised at every international forum.”

He further said that Indian media celebrated the killing, proving foreign involvement in fueling unrest inside Pakistan. More arrests are expected as investigations continue.
